S.R. Dixon's short stories of horror and dark fantasy have appeared in more than a dozen print and online magazines, including Night Terrors, City Slab, and Black Petals. As a playwright, his full-length play titles include The Nutcracker & The Mouse King, adapted from the original E.T.A. Hoffmann novella, and A Midnight Dreary, about the life of Edgar Allan Poe. He is a member of The Playwrights' Center and The Dramatists Guild of America.
For employment, Scott has held most of the traditional starving-artist jobs: substitute teacher, waiter, bartender, mobile DJ. Since 2003, he's been a resident artist with The Commonweal Theatre Company in Lanesboro, Minnesota. His greatest claim to fame, however, is fromplaying the brilliant (but mad!) Dr. Smirnoff in Mutant Swinger From Mars from DarkArt Entertainment.
